उत्तरेण तु कैलासं मैनाकं पर्वतं परति हिरण्यशृङ्गॊ भगवान महामणिमयॊ गिरिः ॥ २-३-८ ॥
'To the north of Mount Kailasa, amidst the Mainaka mountains, stands the majestic peak named Hiranya-sringa, adorned with an abundance of gems and jewels.' ॥ 2-3-8॥
