भीमसेनस तु तद दृष्ट्वा तस्य कर्म परंतपः अधिसेना पतिं चक्रे सुधर्माणं महाबलम ॥ २-२६-६ ॥

'Seeing the illustrious feat of the king, Bhimasena appointed the mighty Sudharman as the commander-in-chief of his forces.' ॥ 2-26-6 ॥

english translation

bhImasenasa tu tada dRSTvA tasya karma paraMtapaH adhisenA patiM cakre sudharmANaM mahAbalama ॥ 2-26-6 ॥

ततः पराचीं दिशं भीमॊ ययौ भीमपराक्रमः सैन्येन महता राजन कम्पयन्न इव मेदिनीम ॥ २-२६-७ ॥

'The formidable Bhima then marched eastward, causing the very earth to tremble under the weight of his vast army.' ॥ 2-26-7 ॥

english translation

tataH parAcIM dizaM bhImò yayau bhImaparAkramaH sainyena mahatA rAjana kampayanna iva medinIma ॥ 2-26-7 ॥

सॊ ऽशवमेधेश्वरं राजन रॊचमानं सहानुजम जिगाय समरे वीरॊ बलेन बलिनां वरः ॥ २-२६-८ ॥

'O King, the mighty hero, foremost among the strong, conquered in battle the lord of Ashvamedha (horse sacrifice), who was resplendent along with his younger brother.' ॥ 2-26-8 ॥

sò 'zavamedhezvaraM rAjana ròcamAnaM sahAnujama jigAya samare vIrò balena balinAM varaH ॥ 2-26-8 ॥

स तं निर्जित्य कौन्तेयॊ नातितीव्रेण कर्मणा पूर्वदेशं महावीर्यॊ विजिग्ये कुरुनन्दनः ॥ २-२६-९ ॥

'And the son of Kunti, having vanquished that monarch by performing feats that excelled in fierceness, subjugated the eastern region.' ॥ 2-26-9 ॥

sa taM nirjitya kaunteyò nAtitIvreNa karmaNA pUrvadezaM mahAvIryò vijigye kurunandanaH ॥ 2-26-9 ॥

ततॊ दक्षिणम आगम्य पुलिन्द नगरं महत सुकुमारं वशे चक्रे सुमित्रं च नराधिपम ॥ २-२६-१० ॥

'Then, the prince of the Kuru race, endowed with great prowess, entered the southern land of the Pulindas and brought both Sukumara and King Sumitra under his sway.' ॥ 2-26-10 ॥

tatò dakSiNama Agamya pulinda nagaraM mahata sukumAraM vaze cakre sumitraM ca narAdhipama ॥ 2-26-10 ॥
