तांस तु सान्त्वेन निर्जित्य मानसं सर उत्तमम ऋषिकुल्याश च ताः सर्वा ददर्श कुरुनन्दनः ॥ २-२५-४ ॥
'Using a policy of conciliation, he subjugated them. In that region, the Kuru prince beheld the excellent lake called Manasa and various other lakes and tanks sacred to the Rishis.' ॥ 2-25-4 ॥
english translation
tAMsa tu sAntvena nirjitya mAnasaM sara uttamama RSikulyAza ca tAH sarvA dadarza kurunandanaH ॥ 2-25-4 ॥
