अलं तस्य महाबाहुर भीमसेनॊ महाबलः लॊकस्य समुदीर्णस्य निधनायान्तकॊ यथा ॥ २-१८-६ ॥
'Like death itself that slays a person swollen with pride, the long-armed and mighty Bhimasena will bring about the destruction of the king.' ॥ 2-18-6 ॥
english translation
alaM tasya mahAbAhura bhImasenò mahAbalaH lòkasya samudIrNasya nidhanAyAntakò yathA ॥ 2-18-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयदि ते हृदयं वेत्ति यदि ते परत्ययॊ मयि भीमसेनार्जुनौ शीघ्रं नयासभूतौ परयच्छ मे ॥ २-१८-७ ॥
'If you understand my intentions, if you have any trust in me, then without delay, entrust Bhima and Arjuna to me as a pledge!' ॥ 2-18-7 ॥

yadi te hRdayaM vetti yadi te paratyayò mayi bhImasenArjunau zIghraM nayAsabhUtau parayaccha me ॥ 2-18-7 ॥

'Vaisampayana continued, "Thus addressed by the exalted one, Yudhishthira, seeing both Bhima and Arjuna standing with joyful faces, replied as follows:"' ॥ 2-18-8 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअच्युताच्युत मा मैवं वयाहरामित्र कर्षण पाण्डवानां भवान नाथॊ भवन्तं चाश्रिता वयम ॥ २-१८-९ ॥
'O Achyuta, O Achyuta, the destroyer of all foes, do not say such things. You are the lord of the Pandavas! We rely upon you.' ॥ 2-18-9 ॥

acyutAcyuta mA maivaM vayAharAmitra karSaNa pANDavAnAM bhavAna nAthò bhavantaM cAzritA vayama ॥ 2-18-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा वदसि गॊविन्द सर्वं तद उपपद्यते न हि तवम अग्रतस तेषां येषां लक्ष्मीः पराङ्मुखी ॥ २-१८-१० ॥
'What you say, O Govinda, aligns with wise counsel. You never forsake those upon whom Fortune has smiled.' ॥ 2-18-10 ॥

yathA vadasi gòvinda sarvaM tada upapadyate na hi tavama agratasa teSAM yeSAM lakSmIH parAGmukhI ॥ 2-18-10 ॥
