[अर] पराणकृच्छ्राद विमुक्तं तवम आत्मानं मन्यसे मया एवंगते न शक्ष्यामि किं चित कारयितुं तवया ॥ २-१-६ ॥
'Arjuna replied, "O virtuous one, if you feel you've been spared from imminent danger by my intervention, even so, I cannot compel you to do anything for me."' ॥ 2-1-6 ॥
english translation
[ara] parANakRcchrAda vimuktaM tavama AtmAnaM manyase mayA evaMgate na zakSyAmi kiM cita kArayituM tavayA ॥ 2-1-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चापि तव संकल्पं मॊघम इच्छामि दानव कृष्णस्य करियतां किं चित तथा परतिकृतं मयि ॥ २-१-७ ॥
'At the same time, O Danava, I do not wish to thwart your intentions. Instead, do something for Krishna. That will suffice as a repayment for my assistance to you.' ॥ 2-1-7 ॥
english translation
na cApi tava saMkalpaM mòghama icchAmi dAnava kRSNasya kariyatAM kiM cita tathA paratikRtaM mayi ॥ 2-1-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[व] चॊदितॊ वासुदेवस तु मयेन भरतर्षभ मुहूर्तम इव संदध्यौ किम अयं चॊद्यताम इति ॥ २-१-८ ॥
'Vaisampayana narrated, "Upon Maya's insistence, Vasudeva, the chief of the Bharatas, paused for a moment, contemplating what task to assign to Maya. Krishna, the Lord of the universe and the Creator of all things pondered deeply."' ॥ 2-1-8 ॥

[va] còditò vAsudevasa tu mayena bharatarSabha muhUrtama iva saMdadhyau kima ayaM còdyatAma iti ॥ 2-1-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचॊदयाम आस तं कृष्णः सभा वै करियताम इति धर्मराजस्य दैतेय यादृशीम इह मन्यसे ॥ २-१-९ ॥
'Krishna then instructed him, "Maya, let the assembly hall be constructed." O Danava, what do you think about the construction of the hall by Dharmaraja's order?"' ॥ 2-1-9 ॥

còdayAma Asa taM kRSNaH sabhA vai kariyatAma iti dharmarAjasya daiteya yAdRzIma iha manyase ॥ 2-1-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयां कृतां नानुकुर्युस ते मानवाः परेक्ष्य विस्मिताः मनुष्यलॊके कृत्स्ने ऽसमिंस तादृशीं कुरु वै सभाम ॥ २-१-१० ॥
'Build a palace so magnificent that even after careful examination, people of the mortal world cannot replicate it, even while seated within.' ॥ 2-1-10 ॥

yAM kRtAM nAnukuryusa te mAnavAH parekSya vismitAH manuSyalòke kRtsne 'samiMsa tAdRzIM kuru vai sabhAma ॥ 2-1-10 ॥
