तस्मिन् ब्रुवाणे वाक्यार्थग्रहणम् । तदवधार्य प्रशंसाविषये भाषणम् । तद्वाक्यस्य चोत्तरेण योजनम्। भक्तिमाँश्चेत् ॥ २८ ॥

Taking the meaning of these discourses seriously, flattered by her words praising him, he has intercourse with her in response to her words, which he takes for an expression of her love.

english translation

बोलने की रीति-नायक के बोलने पर उसकी बातों का आशय समझे, उसकी बातों को समझकर प्रशंसा भी करे, उससे विषयों पर वार्तालाप करे और उसकी बातों का उत्तर तभी दे जब यह समझ ले कि यह स्नेहसम्पन्न है॥ २८ ॥
