दीर्घाणि हस्तशोभीन्यालोके च योषितां चित्तग्राहीणि गौडानां नखानि स्युः ॥ ९ ॥
The inhabitants of Gauda ॥ North Bengal॥ consider long nails to be an ornament of the hands. Such nails are an attraction for the girls of the region.

गौड़ देशवासियों के बड़े-बड़े नख स्वभाव से ही हाथ को शोभित करने वाले तथा देखने मात्र से स्त्रियों के मन को आकृष्ट करने वाले होते हैं ॥ ९ ॥
