सुप्तां चैकचारिणीं धात्रेयिकां वारयित्वा संज्ञामप्रतिपद्यमानां दूषयित्वेति समानं पूर्वेण ॥ २६ ॥
When she is half-asleep, the nurse leads her to an isolated place where the marriage is consummated while she is unconscious. Then, having compromised her, the union is made official.

एकाकी को दूषित कर प्राप्त करना सोती हुई, अकेली जाती हुई या सखी को अलग कर एकाकी बनायी हुई नायिका को चेतनाशून्य कर, तदुपरान्त सम्भोग द्वारा उसे दूषित कर, पूर्ववत् विवाह करना भी पैशाच विवाह है ॥ २६ ॥

ग्रामान्तरमुद्यानं वा गच्छन्तीं विदित्वा सुसंभृतसहायो नायकस्तदा रक्षिणो वित्रास्य हत्वा वा कन्यामपहरेत् । इति विवाहयोगाः ॥ २७ ॥
Having seen her in the village or in the garden, the boy abducts her with the aid of his companions, killing her guardians or making them run away, as do the demons. This is also one of the forms of marriage.

राक्षसविवाह – दूसरे गाँव या उद्यान को जाती हुई नायिका का पता लगाकर, अपने साथियों को साथ ले जाकर और उसके रक्षकों को डरा-धमकाकर या मारकर कन्या का हरण कर लेना राक्षस विवाह है। इस प्रकार ये विवाहयोग पूर्ण हुए ॥ २७ ॥

पूर्व: पूर्व प्रधानं स्याद् विवाहो धर्मतः स्थिते पूर्वाभावे ततः कार्यों यो य उत्तर उत्तरः ॥ २८ ॥
In order of importance, the best marriage is the one in accordance with ethics. Where the sacred fire is lacking, there is no hierarchy among the others.

उत्कृष्टता का विचार यदि धर्म की दृष्टि से विचार किया जाये, तो पूर्व पूर्व विवाह श्रेष्ठ हैं, और पूर्व के अभाव में ही उत्तरोत्तर विवाह प्रकारों को स्वीकार करना चाहिये ॥ २८ ॥

व्यूढानां हि विवाहानामनुरागः फलं यतः । मध्यमो ऽपि हि सद्योगो गान्धर्वस्तेन पूजितः ॥ २९ ॥
Love is the goal of the marriage union, and although the gandharva marriage is not the most recommended, it remains the best.

गान्धर्वविवाह की श्रेष्ठता- क्योंकि विवाह का उद्देश्य ही अनुराग प्राप्त करना है, अतएव मध्यम होते हुए भी गान्धर्वविवाह अच्छे योग वाला होने से पूज्य है ॥ २९ ॥

सुखत्वादबहुक्लेशादपि चावरणादिह । अनुरागात्मकत्वाच्च गान्धर्वः प्रवरो मतः ॥ ३० ॥
Marriage can bring many joys and sorrows. Because it is based on love, the gandharva marriage is the best.

गान्धर्वविवाह सुख का हेतु, अल्प प्रयत्न वाला, वरणसंविधान के प्रपञ्चों से मुक्त और अनुरागात्मक होने से श्रेष्ठ माना जाता है ॥ ३० ॥
