देहे द्वात्रिंशदस्थीनि शस्तं' स्यात्पार्श्वयोर्द्वयोः I द्वासप्तति सहस्राणि नाड्यश्चरति मारुतः॥४-३२॥
There are thirtytwo bones on both the sides (in the back). There are seventytwo thousand naḍis through which the maruta (praṇa) courses.

दोनों तरफ (पीठ में) बत्तीस हड्डियाँ होती हैं। बहत्तर हजार नाड़ियाँ हैं जिनके माध्यम से मरुत (प्राण) प्रवाहित होता है।
