अथ मयूरम्- धरामवष्टभ्य करद्वयेन तत्कूर्पर स्थापितनाभिपार्श्वः I उच्चासनो दण्डवदुत्थितः खे मयूरमेतत्प्रवदन्ति पीठम्
The two palms are placed on the ground. Elbows are placed on the respective sides of the navel and the body is lifted in the air like a horizontal stick. This is known as Mayura-pitha.

दोनों हथेलियाँ ज़मीन पर रखें। कोहनियों को नाभि के संबंधित किनारों पर रखा जाता है और शरीर को क्षैतिज छड़ी की तरह हवा में उठाया जाता है। इसे मयूर-पीठ के नाम से जाना जाता है।
