मांसभक्ष्यैः सुरापानैर्मुखेाक्षरवर्जितैः । पशुभिः पुरुषाकारैर्भाराक्रान्ता हि मेदिनी ॥२१II

This earth continues to suffer from the burden of animals in the form of flesh-eating and alcohol-drinking, illiterate and foolish men.

english translation

मांसभक्षण और मदिरापान करने वाले, निरक्षर और मूर्ख पुरुष रुपी पशुओं के भार से यह धरती पीड़ित रहती है।

अन्नहीनो दहेद्राष्ट्रं मन्त्रहीनश्च ऋत्विजः । यजमानं दानहीनो नास्ति यज्ञसमो रिपुः ॥२२II

sanskrit

If the yagya is devoid of food, it burns the state, if it lacks mantras, it burns the Ritviks and if it is devoid of donations, it burns the host. There is no enemy like such a yagya.

english translation

यज्ञ यदि अन्नहीन हो तो राज्य को मंत्रहीन हो तो ऋत्विकों को और दानहीन हो तो यजमान को जलाता है। ऐसे यज्ञ के समान कोई शत्रु नहीं है।
