यस्य नोपद्रवं कुर्यात् स्नेहबस्तिरनिःसृतः। सर्वेऽल्पो वाऽऽवृतो रौक्ष्यादुपेक्ष्यः स विजानता॥४१॥
If due to impediments sneha basti is not removed completely or partially, but if no complications are observed then an expert physician can ignore the condition.

yasya nopadravaM kuryAt snehabastiraniHsRtaH। sarve'lpo vA''vRto raukSyAdupekSyaH sa vijAnatA॥41॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयुक्तस्नेहं द्रवोष्णं च लघुपथ्योपसेवनम्। भुक्तवान् मात्रया भोज्यमनुवास्यस्त्र्यहात्त्र्यहात्॥४२॥
॥ Diet after anuvasana basti॥ After proper anuvasana basti, patient should be given liquid, hot, light, wholesome food.

yuktasnehaM dravoSNaM ca laghupathyopasevanam। bhuktavAn mAtrayA bhojyamanuvAsyastryahAttryahAt॥42॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधान्यनागरसिद्धं हि तोयं दद्याद्विचक्षणः। व्युषिताय निशां कल्यमुष्णं वा केवलं जलम्॥४३॥
After intake of this food in appropriate quantity the patient may given anuvasana basti on every third day.

dhAnyanAgarasiddhaM hi toyaM dadyAdvicakSaNaH। vyuSitAya nizAM kalyamuSNaM vA kevalaM jalam॥43॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्नेहाजीर्णं जरयति श्लेष्माणं तद्भिनत्ति च। मारुतस्यानुलोम्यं च कुर्यादुष्णोदकं नृणाम्॥४४॥
In the next morning after the night the expert physician should give water boiled with dhanyaka and nagara (shunthi) or simple warm water. This warm water helps the patient in the digestion of undigested fat and disintegrates kapha.

snehAjIrNaM jarayati zleSmANaM tadbhinatti ca। mArutasyAnulomyaM ca kuryAduSNodakaM nRNAm॥44॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवमने च विरेके च निरूहे सानुवासने। तस्मादुष्णोदकं देयं वातश्लेष्मोपशान्तये॥४५॥
Therefore, after emesis, purgation, niruha and anuvasana therapies warm water is to be given to the patients for alleviation of vata and kapha.
