Now we shall expound the chapter "Urustambha chiktsa (Management of diseases of thigh and hip).

श्रिया परमया ब्राह्मया परया च तपःश्रिया । अहीनं चन्द्रसूर्याभ्यां सुमेरुमिव पर्वतम् ॥३॥
[Agnivesha’s query] Once Agnivesha asked about a doubt to the mentor Lord Punarvasu, who was having infallible intellect of true knowledge and penance, who was like the Sumeru mountain with unblemished like sun and moon

धीधृतिस्मृतिविज्ञानज्ञानकीर्तिक्षमालयम् । अग्निवेशो गुरुं काले संशयं परिपृष्टवान् ॥४॥
and was abode of wisdom, self realization, memory, glory and patience.

भगवन् पञ्च कर्माणि समस्तानि पृथक् तथा । निर्दिष्टान्यामयनां हि सर्वेषामेव भेषजम् ॥५॥
Oh Lord, all the five therapies (Panchakarma) are explained together as well as separately as therapeutic measure for all the diseases.
