मधूच्छिष्टेन तैलेन मज्जक्षौद्रवसाघृतैः । तप्तैर्वा विविधैर्लोहैर्दहेद्दाहविशेषवित् ॥१०३॥
The physician, expert in cauterization, may cauterize it with heated bee’s wax, oil, bone marrow, honey, fat or ghee or with various heated metallic instruments.

रूक्षाणां सुकुमाराणां गम्भीरान्मारुतोत्तरान् । दहेत् स्नेहमधूच्छिष्टैर्लोहैः क्षौद्रैस्ततोऽन्यथा ॥१०४॥
Wounds deep and predominant in vata and in patients rough and delicate should be cauterized with fat or beeswax otherwise with iron stick or honey.

बालदुर्बलवृद्धानां गर्भिण्या रक्तपित्तिनाम् । तृष्णाज्वरपरीतानामबलानां विषादिनाम् ॥१०५॥
Cauterization should not be applied in children, debilitated, old persons, pregnant women, those suffering from internal hemorrhage, thirst, fever, weak and poisoned persons
