निहन्ति शुक्रः क्षितिजे अग्रतः प्रजां हुताशशस्त्रक्षुदवृष्टितस्करैः । चराचरं व्यक्तं अथौत्तरापथं दिशो अग्निविद्युद्रजसा च पीड्येत् ॥ ९-४१ ॥
If the course of Mars should just precede that of Venus, mankind will suffer from fire, from weapons, from hunger, from drought and from thieves; all the creatures and objects of the north will suffer and the sky will be filled with fire, lightning and dust.
english translation
nihanti zukraH kSitije agrataH prajAM hutAzazastrakSudavRSTitaskaraiH । carAcaraM vyaktaM athauttarApathaM dizo agnividyudrajasA ca pIDyet ॥ 9-41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबृहस्पतौ हन्ति पुरःस्थिते सितः सितं समस्तं द्विजगोसुरालयान् । दिशं च पूर्वां करकासृजो अम्बुदा गले गदा भूरि भवेच्च शारदम् ॥ ९-४२ ॥
If the course of Jupiter should just precede that of Venus, he will destroy objects that are white, the Brāhmaṇas, cows and temples; the east will suffer; there will be a fall of hail from the clouds and diseases of the neck; the crops of Śarat will thrive well.
english translation
bRhaspatau hanti puraHsthite sitaH sitaM samastaM dvijagosurAlayAn । dizaM ca pUrvAM karakAsRjo ambudA gale gadA bhUri bhavecca zAradam ॥ 9-42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसौम्यो अस्तौदयोः पुरो भृगुसुतस्यावस्थितस्तोयकृद् रोगान्पित्तज कामलांश् च कुरुते पुष्णाति च ग्रैष्मिकान् । हन्यात्प्रव्रजितऽग्निहोत्रिकभिषग्रङ्गोपजीव्यान्हयान् वैश्यान्गाः सह वाहनैर्नरपतीन्पीतानि पश्चाद्दिशम् ॥ ९-४३ ॥
If the course of Mercury should just precede that of Venus, and if Mercury should then have either disappeared or reappeared, there will be rain in the land ; diseases and bilious jaundice will afflict mankind; the crops of Grīṣma will flourish ; ascetics, persons who have performed sacrificial rites, physicians, dancers or wrestlers, horses, the Vysias, cows, rulers in their chariots and all yellow objects will perish and the west will suffer.

saumyo astaudayoH puro bhRgusutasyAvasthitastoyakRd rogAnpittaja kAmalAMz ca kurute puSNAti ca graiSmikAn । hanyAtpravrajita'gnihotrikabhiSagraGgopajIvyAnhayAn vaizyAngAH saha vAhanairnarapatInpItAni pazcAddizam ॥ 9-43 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिखिभयं अनलाभे शस्त्रकोपश्च रक्ते कनकनिकषगौरे व्याधयो दैत्यपूज्ये । हरितकपिलरूपे श्वासकासप्रकोपः पतति न सलिलं खाद्भस्मरूक्षासिताभे ॥ ९-४४ ॥
If Venus (śukra) should be of the colour of fire, there will be fear from fire; if of blood colour, there will be wars in the land; if of the colour of burnished gold, there will be disease; if green, there will be asthmatic complaints; if ashy-pale or black, there will be drought in the land.
english translation
zikhibhayaM analAbhe zastrakopazca rakte kanakanikaSagaure vyAdhayo daityapUjye । haritakapilarUpe zvAsakAsaprakopaH patati na salilaM khAdbhasmarUkSAsitAbhe ॥ 9-44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदधिकुमुदशशाङ्ककान्तिभृत्स्फुटविकसत्किरणो बृहत्तनुः । सुगतिरविकृतो जयान्वितः कृतयुगरूपकरः सिताह्वयः ॥ ९-४५ ॥
If Venus should be of the colour of coagulated milk, of the white water lily, or of the moon, or if her course be direct, or if she should be the successful planet in conjunctions, mankind will enjoy the happiness of Kṛtayuga.
