अत्र आरोहेच्शू लिकगान्धारावन्तयः प्रपीड्यन्ते । वैदेहवधः प्रत्यन्तयवनशकदासपरिवृद्धिः ॥ ९-२१ ॥
If Venus, who so reappears in the said maṇḍala should be crossed by a planet, the Śūlikas, the people of Gāndhāra and of Avantī will be afflicted with miseries. The Videhas will perish. The servants of the border Mlecchas and of the Yavanas will prosper.

atra AroheczU likagAndhArAvantayaH prapIDyante । vaidehavadhaH pratyantayavanazakadAsaparivRddhiH ॥ 9-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअपरस्यां स्वात्याद्यं ज्येष्ठाआद्यं चापि मण्डलं शुभदम् । पित्र्यऽद्यं पूर्वस्यां शेषाणि यथोक्तफलदानि ॥ ९-२२ ॥
If Venus should reappear or be crossed by a planet in the western portion of the maṇḍalas beginning from Svātī and from Jyeṣṭhā or in the eastern portion of the maṇḍala beginning from Maghā, there will be happiness in the land; in all the other maṇḍalas the effects will be the same as those already described wherever Venus might happen to reappear or be then crossed.

aparasyAM svAtyAdyaM jyeSThAAdyaM cApi maNDalaM zubhadam । pitrya'dyaM pUrvasyAM zeSANi yathoktaphaladAni ॥ 9-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदृष्टो अनस्तमिते भयकृत्क्षुद्रोगकृत्समस्तं अहः । अर्धदिवसे च सैन्दुर्नृपबलपुरभेदकृत्शुक्रः ॥ ९-२३ ॥
If Venus should be visible before sunset there will be fear in the land; if visible throughout the day, mankind will suffer from hunger and from disease; if visible at midday in conjunction with the moon, the king’s army and capital city will suffer.
english translation
dRSTo anastamite bhayakRtkSudrogakRtsamastaM ahaH । ardhadivase ca saindurnRpabalapurabhedakRtzukraH ॥ 9-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभिन्दन्गतो अनलऋक्षं कूलातिक्रान्तवारिवाहाभिः । अव्यक्ततुङ्गनिम्ना समा सरिद्भिर्भवति धात्री ॥ ९-२४ ॥
If Venus should pass through the constellation of Kṛttikā, the Earth will be so much enundated with water as to make its surface even.
english translation
bhindangato analaRkSaM kUlAtikrAntavArivAhAbhiH । avyaktatuGganimnA samA saridbhirbhavati dhAtrI ॥ 9-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्राजापत्ये शकटे भिन्ने कृत्वाइव पातकं वसुधा । केशास्थिशकलशबला कापालं इव व्रतं धत्ते ॥ ९-२५ ॥
If Venus should pass through the constellation of Rohiṇī Earth will assume the same appearance of death and devastation as if she was going through the ceremony of Kāpālika for the expiation of the sin of murder.
english translation
prAjApatye zakaTe bhinne kRtvAiva pAtakaM vasudhA । kezAsthizakalazabalA kApAlaM iva vrataM dhatte ॥ 9-25 ॥
