दृष्टो अनस्तमिते भयकृत्क्षुद्रोगकृत्समस्तं अहः । अर्धदिवसे च सैन्दुर्नृपबलपुरभेदकृत्शुक्रः ॥ ९-२३ ॥

If Venus should be visible before sunset there will be fear in the land; if visible throughout the day, mankind will suffer from hunger and from disease; if visible at midday in conjunction with the moon, the king’s army and capital city will suffer.

english translation

dRSTo anastamite bhayakRtkSudrogakRtsamastaM ahaH । ardhadivase ca saindurnRpabalapurabhedakRtzukraH ॥ 9-23 ॥
