Brihat Samhita
एवं विरक्ता जनयन्ति दोषान् प्राणच्छिदो अन्यैरनुकीर्तितैः किम् । रक्ताविरक्ताः पुरुषैरतो अर्थात् परीक्षितव्याः प्रमदाः प्रयत्नात् ॥ ७८-०२ ॥
Thus wives who do not love their husbands have killed them. Of what use is it to quote more instances. Husbands shall therefore ascertain in various ways whether they have secured the affection of their wives.
