पादाः पञ्चनखास्त्रयो अग्रचरणः षड्भिर्नखैर्दक्षिणस् ताम्रओष्ठाग्रनसो मृगेश्वरगतिर्जिघ्रन्भुवं याति च । लाङ्गूलं ससटं दृगृक्षसदृशी कर्णौ च लम्बौ मृदू यस्य स्यात्स करोति पोष्टुरचिरात्पुष्टां श्रियं श्वा गृहे ॥ ६२-०१ ॥
The dog (śvan) which has five nails in each of its hind legs, three in the left front leg, and six in the right front leg, whose lips and the tip of whose nose are red, whose gait is like that of the lion, which walks smelling the ground, and whose tail is hairy, eyes like stars, ears hanging and soft, will before long make his master exceedingly wealthy.
