कूर्मवसाअसृक्क्षारौपमश्च भयदुःखदो भवति गन्धः । वैदूर्यकनकविद्युत्प्रभो जयऽरोग्यवृद्धिकरः ॥ ५०-२२ ॥
If the sword (khaḍga) should smell like the tortoise, serum, blood, or salt, it indicates fear and grief. If the sword should appear bright as Vaidūrya, gold or lightning, it indicates increased success and health.
