Brihat Samhita
पर्यन्तेषु विमलता बहुलं मध्ये तमो अन्त्य दरणऽख्यः । मध्याख्यदेशनाशः शारदसस्यक्षयश्चास्मिन् ॥ ५-९० ॥
If the edge should first begin to clear all round, while there is darkness in the centre, the termination is known as antavidaraṇa (terminal opening): Madhyadeśa or Central Provinces will suffer, and the crops of Śarat will be injured.
english translation
