दत्त्वा +अभयं प्रजानां आघातस्थानगान्विसृज्य पशून् । बन्धनमोक्षं कुर्यादभ्यन्तरदोषकृद्वर्जम् ॥ ४८-८१ ॥

The king shall then give his subjects assurances of good government and shall release from jail all prisoners, excepting those who may have been just then punished for offences.

एतत्प्रयुज्यमानं प्रतिपुष्यं सुखयशोअर्थवृद्धिकरम् । पुष्याद् विनाअर्धफलदा पौषी शान्तिः परा प्रोक्ता ॥ ४८-८२ ॥

If the Puṣya Snāna be repeated every month when the Moon passes through the asterism of Puṣya, the king will enjoy increase of wealth, health and fame. If the Puṣya Homa ceremony be performed when the Moon passes through any other asterism, the king will only enjoy one half of the good effects prescribed for it.

राष्ट्रौत्पातौपसर्गेषु राहोः केतोश्च दर्शने । ग्रहावमर्दने चएव पुष्यस्नानं समाचरेत् ॥ ४८-८३ ॥

On the occurrence of portents, of eclipses and of planetary conjunctions, the king shall have the bath known as Puṣya Snāna.

नास्ति लोके स उत्पातो यो ह्यनेन न शाम्यति । मङ्गलं चापरं नास्ति यदस्मादतिरिच्यते ॥ ४८-८४ ॥

There are no portents whose evil effects are irremediable by Puṣya Snāna and there are no ceremonies calculated to do a king as much good as the ceremony of Puṣya Homa.

अधिराज्यार्थिनो राज्ञः पुत्रजन्म च काङ्क्षतः । तत्पूर्वं अभिषेके च विधिरेष प्रशस्यते ॥ ४८-८५ ॥

The king that desires an increase of power and the king that desires sons will be benefited by Puṣya Snāna.
