तैः संस्तुतः स देवस्तुतोष नारायणो ददौ चैषाम् । ध्वजं असुरसुरवधूमुखकमलवनतुषारतीक्ष्णांशुम् ॥ ४३-०५ ॥

sanskrit

God Nārāyaṇa, pleased with the praise of the Devas, gave them a Dhvaja (flag-staff) which at the same time served both as the Sun and the Moon respectively to the lotus-like face of the Deva and Asura females.

english translation

taiH saMstutaH sa devastutoSa nArAyaNo dadau caiSAm । dhvajaM asurasuravadhUmukhakamalavanatuSAratIkSNAMzum ॥ 43-05 ॥
