संस्थानविधिः कथितो रूपाण्यस्माद्भवन्ति चन्द्रमसः । स्वल्पो दुर्भिक्षकरो महान्सुभिक्षऽवहः प्रोक्तः ॥ ४-१८ ॥

sanskrit

Having thus described the shape of the moon we next proceed to describe her size (generally): if the moon should appear small there will be famine, and if big, prosperity, in the land.

english translation

saMsthAnavidhiH kathito rUpANyasmAdbhavanti candramasaH । svalpo durbhikSakaro mahAnsubhikSa'vahaH proktaH ॥ 4-18 ॥
