नरपतिपत्नीपीडां परिवेषो अभ्युत्थितश्चतुर्दश्याम् । कुर्यात्तु पञ्चदश्यां पीडां मनुजाधिपस्यएव ॥ ३४-२१ ॥
If the halo should appear on the fourteenth day of the dark or bright half of a lunar month, the queen will suffer; and if on the fifteenth (new or full moon) day, rulers will suffer.
english translation
narapatipatnIpIDAM pariveSo abhyutthitazcaturdazyAm । kuryAttu paJcadazyAM pIDAM manujAdhipasyaeva ॥ 34-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनागरकाणां अभ्यन्तरस्थिता यायिनां च बाह्यस्था । परिवेषमध्यरेखा विज्ञेयाआक्रन्दसाराणाम् ॥ ३४-२२ ॥
The inner circle of the halo represents citizens, the outer circle represents the army marching out for fight and the central circle represents the army pursued by the enemy.
english translation
nAgarakANAM abhyantarasthitA yAyinAM ca bAhyasthA । pariveSamadhyarekhA vijJeyAAkrandasArANAm ॥ 34-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरक्तः श्यामो रूक्षश्च भवति येषां पराजयस्तेषाम् । स्निग्धः श्वेतो द्युतिमान्येषां भागो जयस्तेषाम् ॥ ३४-२३ ॥
If any of these circles should appear of blood-colour or black or of fearful appearance, the persons it represents will suffer defeat. If any of these circles should appear glossy, white and bright, the persons it represents will succeed in battle.

raktaH zyAmo rUkSazca bhavati yeSAM parAjayasteSAm । snigdhaH zveto dyutimAnyeSAM bhAgo jayasteSAm ॥ 34-23 ॥
