शुक्लाः करा दिनकृतो दिवऽदिमध्यान्तगामिनः स्निग्धाः । अव्युच्छिन्ना ऋजवो वृष्टिकरास्ते त्व् अमोघाख्याः ॥ ३०-११ ॥

If the rays of the rising, setting or mid-day Sun should be white, glossy, unbroken and straight the rays are known as Amogha (excellent) rays.

zuklAH karA dinakRto diva'dimadhyAntagAminaH snigdhAH । avyucchinnA Rjavo vRSTikarAste tv amoghAkhyAH ॥ 30-11 ॥

कल्माषबभ्रुकपिला विचित्रमाञ्जिष्ठहरितशबलाभाः । त्रिदिवानुबन्धिनो अवृष्टये अल्पभयदास्तु सप्ताहात् ॥ ३०-१२ ॥

Dark, tawny, brownish, variegated, madder-red, green, and mottled in appearance— these clouds, connected with the heavenly world, cause little fear and bring no rain for a week.

ताम्रा बलपतिमृत्युं पीतारुणसन्निभाश्च तद्व्यसनम् । हरिताः पशुसस्यबधं धूमसवर्णा गवां नाशम् ॥ ३०-१३ ॥

Copper-coloured (clouds) indicate the death of a powerful ruler; yellowish-red ones resemble calamity. Green-coloured ones bring destruction to cattle and crops, while smoke-coloured ones cause the ruin of cows.

माञ्जिष्टाभाः शस्त्राग्निसम्भ्रमं बभ्रवः पवनवृष्टिम् । भस्मसदृशास्त्ववृष्टिं तनुभावं शबलकल्माषाः ॥ ३०-१४ ॥

Madder-red clouds cause panic due to weapons and fire; brown-coloured ones bring wind and rain. Ash-like clouds result in drought, while mottled and dark-spotted ones indicate thin or scanty rain.

mAJjiSTAbhAH zastrAgnisambhramaM babhravaH pavanavRSTim । bhasmasadRzAstvavRSTiM tanubhAvaM zabalakalmASAH ॥ 30-14 ॥

बन्धूकपुष्पाञ्जनचूर्णसन्निभं सान्ध्यं रजो अभ्येति यदा दिवाकरम् । लोकास्तदा रोगशतैर्निपीड्यते शुक्लं रजो लोकविवृद्धिशान्तये ॥ ३०-१५ ॥

If the dust raised by the wind at sunrise or suset should be very red or very black, and if such dust should appear to move in the direction of the Sun, mankind will suffer from various diseases; if the dust should be white, there will be happiness in the land.

bandhUkapuSpAJjanacUrNasannibhaM sAndhyaM rajo abhyeti yadA divAkaram । lokAstadA rogazatairnipIDyate zuklaM rajo lokavivRddhizAntaye ॥ 30-15 ॥
