दिनकरकराभितापादृक्षं अवाप्नोति सुमहतीं पीडाम् । भवति तु पश्चात्शुद्धं कनकं इव हुताशपरितापात् ॥ ३-३६ ॥
That which is scorched by the burning rays of the Sun suffers intense distress; yet afterwards it becomes pure again, like gold refined by the heat of fire.
english translation
dinakarakarAbhitApAdRkSaM avApnoti sumahatIM pIDAm । bhavati tu pazcAtzuddhaM kanakaM iva hutAzaparitApAt ॥ 3-36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिवसकृतः प्रतिसूर्यो जलकृदुदग्दक्षिणे स्थितो अनिलकृत् । उभयस्थः सलिलभयं नृपं उपरि निहन्त्यधो जनहा ॥ ३-३७ ॥
The planets, when subjected to the hot rays of the sun are freed from their impurities just as gold is purified by the action of the fire.
english translation
divasakRtaH pratisUryo jalakRdudagdakSiNe sthito anilakRt । ubhayasthaH salilabhayaM nRpaM upari nihantyadho janahA ॥ 3-37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptरुधिरनिभो वियत्यवनिपान्तकरो न चिरात् परुषरजोअरुणीकृततनुर्यदि वा दिनकृत् । असितविचित्रनीलपरुषो जनघातकरः खगमृगभैरवस्वररुतैश्च निशाद्युमुखे ॥ ३-३८ ॥
If the halo should be to the north of the sun there will be rain; if to the south there will be wind; if on both sides there will be fear from floods; if above the sun (towards the meridian) then the king, if below it (towards the horizon), then his subjects, will perish.
english translation
rudhiranibho viyatyavanipAntakaro na cirAt paruSarajoaruNIkRtatanuryadi vA dinakRt । asitavicitranIlaparuSo janaghAtakaraH khagamRgabhairavasvararutaizca nizAdyumukhe ॥ 3-38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअमलवपुरवक्रमण्डलः स्फुटविपुलामलदीर्घदीधितिः । अविकृततनुवर्णचिह्नभृज्जगति करोति शिवं दिवाकरः ॥ ३-३९ ॥
If the sun (āditya) should be of blood colour when in mid-heaven, or if he should appear red by a dust storm the reigning prince will die.

amalavapuravakramaNDalaH sphuTavipulAmaladIrghadIdhitiH । avikRtatanuvarNacihnabhRjjagati karoti zivaM divAkaraH ॥ 3-39 ॥
