नासिक्यभोगवर्धनविराटविन्ध्याद्रिपार्श्वगा देशाः । ये च पिबन्ति सुतोयां तापीं ये च अपि गोमतीसलिलं । नागरकृषिकरपारतहुताशनाजीवि शस्त्रवार्तानाम् । आटविकदुर्गकर्वट वधिक नृशंसावलिप्तानाम् ॥ १६-१२ ॥

The regions of Nāśikya, Bhoga, Vardhana, Virāṭa, and those on the flanks of the Vindhya mountains; those who drink the waters of the Sutoī, the Tāpi, and those of the Gomati; the towns, the farmers, the Parata people, and the grain-eaters; the news of weapons and warfare; the forest forts, the mountain passes, and the cruel, blood-stained people.
