ईषत्प्रभिन्ने अरुणरश्मिजालैर्नैशे अन्धकारे दिशि दक्षिणस्याम् । सांवत्सरावेदितदिग्विभागे भूपो अर्घं उर्व्यां प्रयतः प्रयच्छेत् ॥ १२-१५ ॥

When the darkness of the night should just begin to be broken by streaks of red light from the eastern horizon, princes, previously prepared for the purpose, ought to offer their Arghyam to Agastya by pouring it on the Earth in the direction of the star Canopus rising in the south-east as will be pointed out by the astronomer.

ISatprabhinne aruNarazmijAlairnaize andhakAre dizi dakSiNasyAm । sAMvatsarAveditadigvibhAge bhUpo arghaM urvyAM prayataH prayacchet ॥ 12-15 ॥
