इन्दोः पयोदविगमोपहितां विभूतिं द्रष्टुं तरङ्गवलया कुमुदं निशासु । उन्मीलयत्यलिनिलीनदलं सुपक्ष्म वापी विलोचनं इवासिततारकान्तम् ॥ १२-१० ॥

As if to view the beauty of the pure disc of her lord—the Moon, the summer lake opens at night her red lotus buds—her eyes of soft petals in which lie concealed the black bee serving as the pupil of the eye.

english translation

indoH payodavigamopahitAM vibhUtiM draSTuM taraGgavalayA kumudaM nizAsu । unmIlayatyalinilInadalaM supakSma vApI vilocanaM ivAsitatArakAntam ॥ 12-10 ॥
