अश्विन्यो अथ भरण्यो बहुलापादश्च कीर्त्यते मेषः । वृषभो बहुलाशेषं रोहिण्यो अर्धं च मृगशिरसः ॥ १०२-०१ ॥
Sign Aries consists of the asterisms of Aśvinī and Bharaṇī and the first quarter of Kṛttikā. Sign Taurus consists of the last three quarters of Kṛttikā, the asterism of Rohiṇī and the first two quarters of Mṛgaśīrṣa.

Sign Gemini consists of the last two quarters of Mṛgaśīrṣa, the asterism of Ārdrā and the first three quarters of Punarvasu. Sign Cancer consists of the last quarter of Punarvasu and the asterisms of Puṣya and Āśleṣā.
