वृषतौलिनृयुक्कन्याराशयो रिपवो गुरोः । सिंहालिकर्कचापाश्च शुकस्य रिपुराशयः ॥ ३१॥

If a Grah is in an inimical Rāśi, his Dasha will be full of adversities.

मेषसिंहधनुःकौर्पिकर्कटा शनिशत्रवः । एवं ग्राहन्तरदाशां चिन्तयेत्कोविदो द्विज ॥ ३२॥

The effects of the Dasha of Rāśis and Grahas should be judged after taking into account the above rules.

ये राजयोगदा ये च शुभमध्यमता ग्रहाः । यस्माद्वा द्वित्रितुर्यस्थाः ग्रहाः शुभफलप्रदाः ॥ ३३॥

The Dashas of that Grah will be favourable, who is Raj Yog Karak, who is disposed between two benefics (that is there are benefics in the 2nd and the 12th Bhavas to that Grah) and who has benefics in the 2nd, 3rd and 4 th Bhavas from him.

तद्दशानां शुभं ब्रूयाद्राजयोगादिसम्भवम् । शुभद्वयान्तरगतः पापोऽपि शुभदः स्मृतः ॥ ३४॥

A malefic Grah becomes favourable, if he is disposed between benefics.

गता शुभदशामध्यं दशा सौम्यस्य शोभना । शुभा यस्य त्रिकोणस्थस्तद्दशापि शुभप्रदा ॥ ३५॥

The whole of the Dasha of a Grah, who is related to a friendly and benefic Grah at the commencement and the end of the Dasha, will be favourable. In an unfavourable Dasha the Antar Dasha of a benefic (Grah, or Rāśi) becomes favourable.
