चरराशौ स्थितौ द्वौ चित् तदा दीर्घमुदाहृतम् । एकः स्थिरेऽपरो द्वन्द्वे दीर्घमायुस्तथापि हि ॥ ३६॥

Out of a group of two, if the two are in Movable Rāśis, long life is denoted. One in a Fixed Rāśi and the other in a Dual Rāśi will also bestow long life.

एकश्चरे स्थिरेऽन्यश्चेत् तदामध्यमुदाहृतम् । द्वौ वा द्वन्द्वे स्थितौ विप्र मध्यमायुस्तथापि च ॥ ३७॥

One in a Movable Rāśi and the other in a Fixed Rāśi will give medium life. If both are in Dual Rāśis, then again medium life will be obtained.

एकश्चरेऽपरो द्वन्द्वे द्वौ वा स्थिरगतौ तदा । जातकस्य तदाऽल्पायुर्ज्ञेयमेवं द्विजोत्तम ॥ ३८॥

Short life is denoted, if one is in a Movable Rāśi, as the other is in a Dual Rāśi, or, if both are in Fixed Rāśis.

योगत्रयेण योगाभ्यां सिद्धं यद् ग्राह्यमेव तत् । योगत्रयविसंवादे लग्नहोराविलग्नतः ॥ ३९॥

The type of life, denoted by three, or two groups be only considered. If the three groups denote different scales, then the one, indicated by the pair of natal Lagn and Hora Lagn should be only considered.

लग्ने वा सप्तमे चन्द्रे ग्राह्यं मन्देन्दुतस्तदा । ह्रासो वृद्धिश्च कक्ष्याया विचिन्त्या सर्वदा बुधैः ॥ ४०॥

In case of three different indications, if Candr is in Lagn, or Yuvati Bhava, then the one, indicated by the Śani-Candr pair will only come to pass.
