अंशक्रमादधोऽधःस्थाश्चराख्याः कारका इति । आत्माख्यकारकस्तेषु प्रधानं कथ्यते द्विज ॥ ६॥
The Karakas will have to be decided, as above and, as per further rules given below.
english translation
aMzakramAdadho'dhaHsthAzcarAkhyAH kArakA iti । AtmAkhyakArakasteSu pradhAnaM kathyate dvija ॥ 6॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस एव जातकाधीशो विज्ञेयो द्विजसत्तम । यथा भूमौ प्रसिद्धोऽस्ति नराणां क्षितिपालकः ॥ ७॥
Out of these Karakas, Atma Karak is the most important and has a prime say on the native.
english translation
sa eva jAtakAdhIzo vijJeyo dvijasattama । yathA bhUmau prasiddho'sti narANAM kSitipAlakaH ॥ 7॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्ववार्ताधिकारी च बन्धकृन्मोक्षक्रत् तथा ॥ ८॥
just as the king is the most famous among the men of his country and is the head of all affairs and is entitled to arrest and release men.
english translation
sarvavArtAdhikArI ca bandhakRnmokSakrat tathA ॥ 8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयथा राजाज्ञया विप्रा पुत्रामात्यादयो जनाः । समर्था लोककार्येषु तथैवान्येपि कारकाः ॥ ९॥
Importance of Atma Karak. O Brahmin, as the minister cannot go against the king, the other Karakas, viz. Putr Karak, Amatya Karak etc.
english translation
yathA rAjAjJayA viprA putrAmAtyAdayo janAH । samarthA lokakAryeSu tathaivAnyepi kArakAH ॥ 9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआत्मानुकूलमेवात्र भवन्ति फलदायकः । प्रतिकूले यथा भूपे सर्वेऽमात्यादयो द्विज ॥ १०॥
cannot predominate over Atma Karak in the affairs of the native.
english translation
AtmAnukUlamevAtra bhavanti phaladAyakaH । pratikUle yathA bhUpe sarve'mAtyAdayo dvija ॥ 10॥
