मन्देऽब्जगते विलग्नगे बुधसूर्येन्दुनिरीक्षते क्रमात् ॥ क्रीडाभवने सुरालये सोषरभूमिषु च प्रसूयते ॥ ५-११ ॥
When Saturn is situated in a watery (zodiac sign) in the lagna aspected by Mercury, the Sun, or the Moon, one is born in a place of amusement or sport, a temple, and in sandy soils, in that order.

Mars having aspected ॥ Saturn॥ situated in a human lagna (i.e, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, the first half of Sagittarius, and Aquarius), one produces offspring in a burial ground; Venus and the Moon, in a beautiful place; Jupiter, in a place of fire sacrifice; the Sun, in the place of a king, deity, and cow; Mercury, in a workshop.

The pl a ce of birth is determined fr om the navamsha obtaining in the lagna. If the sign of the navamsha is rnovable, the birth is in the way, if it is fixed one birth is in the house itself. Ifthe lagna is vargottam ie when the navarnsha is of the same sign as t he l agna then a1so birth is in the house. As between the s i gn in the lagna and the navam sha ln it, the results should be declared on the basis of the str o nger of the two.

When the Moon in the lagna is aspected by malefic planets when Mars is in the seventh house, ॥ the child॥ is abandoned. Similarly, ॥ when the Moon in the lagna is aspected by malefic planets॥ when Mars and Saturn are in the eleventh house, ॥ the abandoned child॥ perishes. Similarly, when a benefic planet also aspects, one comes upon a gain in prosperity.
