यथाकाशस्थितो नित्यं वायुः सर्वत्रगो महान् । तथा सर्वाणि भूतानि मत्स्थानीत्युपधारय ॥ ९-६॥
As the mighty wind, moving everywhere, rests always in the ether, even so, know that all beings rest in Me.

जैसे सर्वत्र विचरण करने वाली महान् वायु सदा आकाश में स्थित रहती हैं, वैसे ही सम्पूर्ण भूत मुझमें स्थित हैं, ऐसा तुम जानो।

सर्वभूतानि कौन्तेय प्रकृतिं यान्ति मामिकाम् । कल्पक्षये पुनस्तानि कल्पादौ विसृजाम्यहम् ॥ ९-७॥
All beings, O Arjuna, go into My Nature at the end of a Kalpa; I send them forth again at the beginning of (the next) Kalpa.

हे कुन्तीनन्दन ! कल्पोंका क्षय होनेपर सम्पूर्ण प्राणी मेरी प्रकृतिको प्राप्त होते हैं और कल्पोंके आदिमें मैं फिर उनकी रचना करता हूँ।

प्रकृतिं स्वामवष्टभ्य विसृजामि पुनः पुनः । भूतग्राममिमं कृत्स्नमवशं प्रकृतेर्वशात् ॥ ९-८॥
Controlling the Prakrti, which is My own, I send forth again and again all this multitude of beings, helpless by the force of the Nature.

प्रकृति को अपने वश में करके (अर्थात् उसे चेतनता प्रदान कर) स्वभाव के वश से परतन्त्र (अवश) हुए इस सम्पूर्ण भूत समुदाय को मैं पुन:-पुन: रचता हूँ।

न च मां तानि कर्माणि निबध्नन्ति धनञ्जय । उदासीनवदासीनमसक्तं तेषु कर्मसु ॥ ९-९॥
O Dhananjaya (Arjuna), nor do those actions bind Me, remaining (as I do) like one unconcerned with, and unattached to, those actions.

हे धनञ्जय ! उन (सृष्टि-रचना आदि) कर्मोंमें अनासक्त और उदासीनकी तरह रहते हुए मेरेको वे कर्म नहीं बाँधते।

मयाध्यक्षेण प्रकृतिः सूयते सचराचरम् । हेतुनानेन कौन्तेय जगद्विपरिवर्तते ॥ ९-१०॥
Under My supervision, Prakrti gives birth to all mobile and immobile entities. Because of this, O Kauntey, does the world revolve.

हे कौन्तेय ! मुझ अध्यक्ष के कारण ( अर्थात् मेरी अध्यक्षता में) प्रकृति चराचर जगत् को उत्पन्न करती है; इस कारण यह जगत् (संसारचक्र में )घूमता रहता है।
