Astanga Hrudaya
मेदःश्लेष्मास्त्रपित्तेषु हितं लेपोपसेकयोः। वरोऽत्र मुद्गोऽल्पचलः, कलायस्त्वतिवातलः ॥१८॥
mitigate fat, kapha, asra (blood) and pitta, suited for use as external application and bathing the body parts etc. Among them, mudga (green gram) is best, it causes mild increase of chala (vata): kalaya (round pea) causes vata and dryness, produces more faeces and is hard to digest .
