न्युब्जानामितरेषां च पात्रादीनामशोभनम् । पुंसञ्ज्ञाः पक्षिणो वामाः स्त्रीसञ्ज्ञा दक्षिणाः शुभाः ॥ २३ ॥

seen inverted / (with their legs or mouths) bent down- all these are inauspicious Inauspicious omens based on the movement of animals and birds around the physician en-route to patient’s home: Birds with masculine names (and of masculine gender) sitting on the left side (to the physician walking on the road) and those with feminine names (and of feminine gender) on the right is auspicious,
