समुस्तारग्वधं लेपो वर्गो वा वरुणादिकः । आरग्वधस्य पत्राणि त्वचः श्लेष्मातकोद्भवाः ॥ १६ ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptइन्द्राणिशाकं काकाह्वा शिरीषकुसुमानि च । सेकव्रणाभ्यङ्गहविर्लेपचूर्णान् यथायथम् ॥१७॥
indrāṇīśāka (leaves of Vitex negundo/Citrullus colocynthis), kākāhvā (Solanum nigrum), and the delicate flowers of śirīṣa (Albizia lebbeck) should be applied as a paste (to cure vīsarpa of Kapha origin). Recipes for bathing, anointing, fumigating, topical application of paste and powder for dusting the wound should be prepared by these herbs only.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptअशीतोष्णा हिता रूक्षा रक्तपित्ते घृतान्विताः । अत्यर्थशीतास्तनवस्तनुवस्त्रान्तरास्थिताः ॥ १९ ॥
the external applications (lepa) should be neither too cold nor too hot (lukewarm) and dry (without fats). However, in cases involving the aggravation of Rakta (blood) and Pitta, the pastes must be mixed with ghee, applied very cold, spread thin, and placed inside a layer of thin cloth.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptयोज्याः क्षणे क्षणेऽन्येऽन्ये मन्दवीर्यास्त एव च । संसृष्टदोषे संसृष्टमेतत्कर्म प्रशस्यते ॥ २० ॥
These applications should be changed frequently, minute after minute, replacing the old with a fresh layer, as the same paste quickly loses its potency and becomes weak in action. In visarpa arising from the combination of the doshas, it is ideal to combine the treatment suitability.
