लब्धे बले च भूयोऽपि स्नेहपीतं विशोधितम् । समुद्रशुक्तिजं क्षारं पयसा पाययेत्तथा ॥ ८६ ॥

After the patient regains strength, they should once again be given fats to drink (oleation therapy) followed by purificatory/cleansing therapies. Then, they should be made to drink milk mixed with the alkali (kṣāra) prepared from ocean oyster shells (samudra-śukti);

labdhe bale ca bhUyo'pi snehapItaM vizodhitam । samudrazuktijaM kSAraM payasA pAyayettathA ॥ 86 ॥

अम्लस्रुतं विडकणाचूर्णाढ्यं नक्तमालजम् । शौभाञ्जनस्य वा क्वाथं सैन्धवाग्निकणान्वितम् ॥ ८७ ॥

or the alkali prepared from naktamāla – Pongamia pinnata, dissolved in sour liquids and enriched with a generous amount of powder of viḍa salt and kaṇā (Piper longum); or they should drink the decoction of śaubhāñjana – Moringa oleifera mixed with rock salt (saindhava), agni (citraka – Plumbago zeylanica), and kaṇā (Piper longum);

हिङ्ग्वादिचूर्णं क्षाराज्यं युञ्जीत च यथाबलम् । पिप्पलीनागरं दन्तीसमांशं द्विगुणाभयम् ॥ ८८ ॥

or they should consume Hiṅgvādi Cūrṇa along with alkaline ash (kṣāra) and ghee, adjusted carefully according to their physical strength. Take equal quantities of pippalī – Piper longum, nāgara – Zingiber officinale, and dantī – Baliospermum montanum (forming one part each), and double the quantity (two parts) of abhayā – Terminalia chebula;

बिडार्धांशयुतं चूर्णमिदमुष्णाम्बुना पिबेत्। विडङ्गं चित्रकं सक्तून् सग़ृतान् सैन्धवं वचाम्॥८९॥

This powder, mixed with half a part of viḍa salt, should be drunk with warm water. Alternatively, a combination of viḍaṅga – Embelia ribes, citraka – Plumbago zeylanica, roasted barley flour (saktu) mixed with ghee, rock salt (saindhava), and vacā – Acorus calamus [should be administered].

दग्ध्वा कपाले पयसा गुल्मप्लीहापहं पिबेत्। तैलोन्मिश्रैर्बदरकपत्रैः सम्मार्दितैः समुपनद्धः॥९०॥

Having burnt the ingredients on an earthen pan/sherd (kapāla), the resulting ash should be consumed with milk to cure abdominal tumors (gulma) and enlargement of the spleen (plīhan). Alternatively, leaves of badaraka – Ziziphus mauritiana, crushed and well-kneaded along with oil, should be applied over the affected area as a warm poultice (upanāha).
