Two pala (96 grams) of bhallātaka – Semecarpus anacardium and one pala (48 grams) each of the herbs of alpa (laghu) pañcamūla (Desmodium gangeticum, Uraria picta, Solanum indicum, Solanum xanthocarpum, and Tribulus terrestris) are boiled together in one āḍhaka (3 liters 72 ml) of water until the decoction is reduced to one-fourth.
