रसेऽष्टभागशेषे तु घृतप्रस्थं विपाचयेत्। दध्नः प्रस्थेन संयोज्य सुधाक्षीरपलेन च॥५६॥

and the decoction is reduced to one-eighth part. To this liquid, one prastha (768 grams) of ghee, one prastha (768 ml) of curds, and one pala (48 ml) of sudhākṣīra (the milky sap of Euphorbia neriifolia) are added, and the medicated ghee is cooked.

ततो घृतपलं दद्याद्यवागूमण्डमिश्रितम्। जीर्णे सम्यग्विरिक्तं च भोजयेद्रसभोजनम्॥५७॥

One pala (48 grams) of this prepared ghee should be administered along with yavāgū (gruel) mixed with maṇḍa (scum of gruel). After the medicine is fully digested and the person has undergone proper therapeutic purgation, they should be given meals along with meat soup (rasa-bhojana).

गुल्मकुष्ठोदरव्यङ्गशोफपाण्ड्वामयज्वरान्। श्वित्रं प्लीहानमुन्मादं हन्त्येतन्नीलिनीघृतम्॥५८॥

This Nīlinī Ghṛta cures abdominal tumors (gulma), skin diseases (kuṣṭha), enlargement of the abdomen (udara), dark patches on the face (vyaṅga), swelling/dropsy (śopha), anemia (pāṇḍu), fever (jvara), leucoderma (śvitra), diseases of the spleen (plīhan), and insanity/schizophrenia (unmāda).

Meat of fowl (kukkuṭa), peacock (mayūra), partridge (tittiri), heron (krauñca), and quail (vartaka), along with śāli rice, wine (madirā), and ghee (sarpiṣ) constitute the dietary management and treatment of vata gulma.

मितमुष्णं द्रवं स्निग्धं भोजनं वातगुल्मिनाम् । समण्डा वारुणी पानं तप्तं वा धान्यकैर्जलम् ॥ ६० ॥

For patients of vata gulma, the food should be limited in quantity (mita), served hot (uṣṇa), liquid in consistency (drava), and unctuous or fatty (snigdha). Ideal drinks for them include vāruṇī wine along with its supernatant liquid (maṇḍa), or warm water boiled with dhānyaka – Coriandrum sativum.
