एक देशं दहेद् अग्निः शरीरं वा परं गतः । स पुत्र दारं राजा तु घातयेद् अर्धयेत वा ॥

whereas fire burns a part or the whole of the body, if at all, the king has the power either to destroy or to advance the whole family, consisting of sons and wives, of his servants.

eka dezaM dahed agniH zarIraM vA paraM gataH । sa putra dAraM rAjA tu ghAtayed ardhayeta vA ॥
