सहस्रेषु हि मुख्यो भवत्य् एको न वा सत्त्व प्रज्ञा आधिक्यात् तद् आश्रयत्वात् क्षुद्रकाणाम् इति ॥

sanskrit

for the sake of vulgar men, nobles should not be allowed to perish; one in a thousand may or may not be a noble man; he it is who is possessed of excessive courage and wisdom and is the refuge of vulgar people.

english translation

sahasreSu hi mukhyo bhavaty eko na vA sattva prajJA AdhikyAt tad AzrayatvAt kSudrakANAm iti ॥
