मातुः परिजन उपग्रहेण वा चेष्टेत ॥
Or he may proceed (against his father) with the help of the servants of his mother.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptकारु शिल्पि कुशीलव चिकित्सक वाग् जीवन पाषण्डच् छद्मभिर् वा नष्ट रूपस् तद् व्यञ्जन सखश् छिद्रेषु प्रविश्य राज्ञः शस्त्र रसाभ्यां प्रहृत्य ब्रूयात् "अहम् असौ कुमारः, सह भोग्यम् इदं राज्यम्, एको न अर्हति भोक्तुम्, ये कामयन्ते मां भर्तुं तान् अहं द्विगुणेन भक्त वेतनेन उपस्थास्यामि" इति ॥ इत्य् अपरुद्ध वृत्तम् ।
Or having disguised himself as a painter, a carpenter, court-bard, a physician, a buffoon, or a heretic, and assisted by spies under similar disguise, he may, when opportunity affords itself, present himself armed with weapons and poison before the king, and address him :-- "I am the heir-apparent; it does not become thee to enjoy the state alone when it is enjoyable by both of us, or when others justly desire such enjoyment; I ought not to be kept away by awarding an allowance of double the subsistence and salary."

kAru zilpi kuzIlava cikitsaka vAg jIvana pASaNDac chadmabhir vA naSTa rUpas tad vyaJjana sakhaz chidreSu pravizya rAjJaH zastra rasAbhyAM prahRtya brUyAt "aham asau kumAraH, saha bhogyam idaM rAjyam, eko na arhati bhoktum, ye kAmayante mAM bhartuM tAn ahaM dviguNena bhakta vetanena upasthAsyAmi" iti ॥ ity aparuddha vRttam ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअपरुद्धं तु मुख्य पुत्र अपसर्पाः प्रतिपाद्य आनयेयुः, माता वा प्रतिगृहीता ॥
Spies or his mother, natural or adoptive, may reconcile an heir-apparent under restraint and bring him to the court.
english translation
aparuddhaM tu mukhya putra apasarpAH pratipAdya AnayeyuH, mAtA vA pratigRhItA ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्यक्तं गूढ पुरुषाः शस्त्र रसाभ्यां हन्युः ॥
Or secret emissaries armed with weapons and poison may kill an abandoned prince.
english translation
tyaktaM gUDha puruSAH zastra rasAbhyAM hanyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअत्यक्तं तुल्य शीलाभिः स्त्रीभिः पानेन मृगयया वा प्रसञ्जयित्वा रात्राव् उपगृह्य आनयेयुः ॥
If he is not abandoned, he may be caught hold of at night by employing women equal to the occasion, or by making use of liquor, or on the occasion of hunting, and brought back (to the court).
