शिष्याश् च अस्य आवेदयेयुः "असौ सिद्धः सामेधिकः" इति ॥
His other disciples may widely proclaim that "this ascetic is an accomplished expert of preternatural powers."
english translation
ziSyAz ca asya AvedayeyuH "asau siddhaH sAmedhikaH" iti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमेध आशास्तिभिश् च अभिगतानाम् अङ्ग विद्यया शिष्य संज्ञाभिश् च कर्माण्य् अभिजने अवसितान्य् आदिशेत् अल्प लाभम् अग्नि दाहं चोर भयं दूष्य वधं तुष्टि दानं विदेश प्रवृत्ति ज्ञानम्, "इदम् अद्य श्वो वा भविष्यति, इदं वा राजा करिष्यति" इति ॥
Regarding those persons who, desirous of knowing their future, throng to him, he may, through palmistry, foretell such future events as he can ascertain by the nods and signs of his disciples (angavidyayá sishyasanjnábhischa) concerning the works of highborn people of the country,--viz., small profits, destruction by fire, fear from robbers, the execution of the seditious, rewards for the good, forecast of foreign affairs (videsa pravrittivijnánam), saying, “this will happen to-day, that to-morrow.

samedha AzAstibhiz ca abhigatAnAm aGga vidyayA ziSya saMjJAbhiz ca karmANy abhijane avasitAny Adizet alpa lAbham agni dAhaM cora bhayaM dUSya vadhaM tuSTi dAnaM videza pravRtti jJAnam, "idam adya zvo vA bhaviSyati, idaM vA rAjA kariSyati" iti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतद् अस्य गूढाः सत्त्रिणश् च सम्पादयेयुः ॥
and that this king will do.” Such assertions of the ascetic his disciples shall corroborate (by adducing facts and figures).

tad asya gUDhAH sattriNaz ca sampAdayeyuH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसत्त्व प्रज्ञा वाक्य शक्ति सम्पन्नानां राज भाग्यम् अनुव्याहरेत्, मन्त्रि सम्योगं च ब्रूयात् ॥
He shall also foretell not only the rewards which persons possessed of foresight, eloquence, and bravery are likely to receive at the hands of the king, but also probable changes in the appointments of ministers.
english translation
sattva prajJA vAkya zakti sampannAnAM rAja bhAgyam anuvyAharet, mantri samyogaM ca brUyAt ॥

The king's minister shall direct his affairs in conformity to the forecast made by the ascetic.
