कृतक अभियुक्तो वा कूट साक्षिणो अभिज्ञात अनर्थ वैपुल्येन आरभेत ॥
Under the pretence of having been charged with criminal offence, a spy may, with promise of large sums money, begin to deal with false witnesses.

ते चेत् तथा कुर्युः कूट साक्षिण इति प्रवास्येरन् ॥
If they agree with him, they shall be proclaimed as false witnesses and banished.

Manufacturers of counterfeit coins shall also be treated similarly.

यं वा मन्त्र योग मूल कर्मभिः श्माशानिकैर् वा संवदन करकं मन्येत तं सत्त्री ब्रूयात् "अमुष्य भार्यां स्नुषां दुहितरं वा कामये, सा मां प्रतिकामयताम्, अयं च अर्थः प्रतिगृह्यताम्" इति ॥
Whoever is believed to secure for others the love of women by means of magical charms, drugs or ceremonials performed on cremation grounds may be approached by a spy with the request that the wife, daughter, or daughter-in-law of some one, whom the spy pretends to love may be made to return the love and that a certain amount of money may be accepted.

स चेत् तथा कुर्यात् संवदन कारक इति प्रवास्येत ॥
If he consents to it, he shall be proclaimed as one engaged in witchcraft (samvadanakáraka) and banished.
