दश अवरं च यूथं विद्यात् ॥

daza avaraM ca yUthaM vidyAt ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउदक धारणं सेतुं भिन्दतस् तत्र एव अप्सु निमज्जनम्, अनुदकम् उत्तमः साहस दण्डः, भग्न उत्सृष्टकं मध्यमः ॥
When a person breaks the dam of a tank full of water, he shall be drowned in the very tank; of a tank without water, he shall be punished with the highest amercement; and of a tank which is in ruins owing to neglect, he shall be punished with the middle-most amercement.
english translation
udaka dhAraNaM setuM bhindatas tatra eva apsu nimajjanam, anudakam uttamaH sAhasa daNDaH, bhagna utsRSTakaM madhyamaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविष दायकं पुरुषं स्त्रियं च पुरुषघ्नीम् अपः प्रवेशयेद् अगर्भिणीम्, गर्भिणीं मास अवर प्रजाताम् ॥
Any man who poisons another and any woman who murders a man shall be drowned.

viSa dAyakaM puruSaM striyaM ca puruSaghnIm apaH pravezayed agarbhiNIm, garbhiNIM mAsa avara prajAtAm ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपति गुरु प्रजा घातिकाम् अग्नि विषदां संधिच् छेदिकां वा गोभिः पाटयेत् ॥
Any woman who murders her husband, preceptor, or offspring, sets fire to another's property, poisons a man or cuts off any of the bodily joints of another shall be torn off by bulls, no matter whether or not she is big with a child, or has not passed a month after giving birth to a child.

pati guru prajA ghAtikAm agni viSadAM saMdhic chedikAM vA gobhiH pATayet ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविवीत क्षेत्र खल वेश्म द्रव्य हस्ति वन आदीपिकम् अग्निना दाहयेत् ॥
Any person who sets fire to pasture lands, fields, yards prepared for threshing out grains, houses, forests, of timber or of elephants shall be thrown into fire.
