तद् उभय परा उक्तं वास्तु राजा हरेत्, प्रनष्ट स्वामिकं च ॥
If both of these methods fail, the holding (vástu) under dispute shall be taken possession of by the king. The same rule shall hold good in the case of a holding for which no claimant is forthcoming;
