अनीश्वराः सम विभागाः ॥
Dependent sons shall have equal divisions.

चातुर्वर्ण्य पुत्राणां ब्राह्मणी पुत्रश् चतुरो अंशान् हरेत्, क्षत्रिया पुत्र स्त्रीन् अंशान्, वैश्या पुत्रो द्वाव् अंशौ, एकं शूद्रा पुत्रः ॥
Of sons begotten by a Bráhman in the four castes, the son of a Bráhman woman shall take four shares; the son of a Kshatriya woman three shares; the son of a Vaisya woman two shares, and the son of a Súdra woman one share.

तेन त्रि वर्ण द्वि वर्ण पुत्र विभागः क्षत्रिय वैश्ययोर् व्याख्यातः ॥
The same rule shall hold good in the case of Kshatriya and Vaisya fathers begetting sons in three or two castes in order.

ब्राह्मणस्य अनन्तरा पुत्रस् तुल्य अंशः ॥
An Anantara son of a Bráhman, i.e. a son begotten by a Bráhman on a woman of next lower caste, shall, if endowed with manly or superior qualities (mánushopetah), take an equal share (with other sons of inferior qualities)

क्षत्रिय वैश्ययोर् अर्ध अंशः तुल्य अंशो वा मानुष उपेतः ॥
similarly Anantara sons of Kshatriya or Vaisya fathers shall if endowed with manly or superior qualities, take half or equal shares (with others).
